I have been watching a series of videos on youtube called '50 people: one question' which ask a selection of people from the street one question. These questions range from "Who would you like to have coffee with?" "What is your secret?" "Where would you like to wake up in the morning?" and "What is your biggest regret?"
One question was "what would you like to achieve by the end of the day?" The most resonant response for me was "for the day to have been perfect" and that got me thinking. What does it take to have a perfect day? What is so important to you that it can effect what makes your day perfect?
This will be different for everyone, but one thing that I think can help everyone to be just that little bit closer is a stranger's act of kindness or friendliness. People giving free hugs, for instance, or just smiling at someone in the queue. It is amazing how much difference these things can make to a mood.
One example is the things that Colour Me Katie does on her blog, like painting stones and leaving them for strangers to find. Just to brighten their day.
My question of the day would be: Who will you be in three months' time? That is the major worry for me now that my last ever semester of University is drawing to a close!
