The dreaded V-day has come and gone, once again

However, this time it was fun!

After a stressful day of Uni and meetings, it was fantastic to go on date night to see The Vow with the Meerkat pack, even if travel arrangements to the cinema were a little last minute! It was a great film and I definitely teared up, sliiightly disappointed that I didn't actually cry though. And I now have two more dresses to add to my wishlist... I just love the red and cream dotty dress that Rachel McAdams wears at one point!

Claire gave us Freddos with cute messages And my lovely valentine Sammy gave us all roses...

but better than real roses...

The sunshine is back :)

And already burning through the winter blues, making wonderful patterns on my ceiling.

The warmth of the sun also makes me think of sunbathing and summer and holidays, all good for improving my mood!

Has anyone ever noticed how nearly all happy, upbeat, feel-good songs are about summer?? No-one goes singing about how wonderful they feel on grey and rainy days, now, do they?

The big 2-1

I know this blog post is a little late... but I just had to share the amazing-ness of my friends and family. I was totally spoiled on the 3rd of February (and the 2cnd, 4th and 5th.... more of a birth-weekend really!)

The Meerkat Pack totally tricked me and surprised me with a meal at Buddy's, and some beautiful gifts and cake galore....

I had a great catch-up with several people who I hadn't seen in ages (birthdays are a lovely excuse to get together). And Lauren sent a beautiful bunch of tulips and daffodils which spread across 4 different vases...

Then came where's wally themed flirt, complete with cava, chocolates and balloons from my lovely housemates :D

And that's without even going home! I travelled back on the 4th (thankfully not hungover as I had an 11:30 train) to find Coco Mademoiselle eau de parfum (ADDICTED), fancy new ipod headphones, a Marc by Marc Jacobs purse (which, it turns out, is the perfect colour to go with all my favourite bags...) and a lovely lunch with my Aunt and Uncle complete with TWO puddings.

Life doesn't get much better than being spoiled like this :)
