Today, I finally got around to replacing my camera! The camera that, well over a year ago, I dropped so many times that the lens got stuck open, which would have cost £97 to repair, which I loved for its hot pinkness. Needless to say, I don't have a great track record! Before the hot pink beauty, I managed to smash the screen of my first Nikon, just before seeing the dawn in on a beach in Majorca, and I didn't do so well with shooting blind! (Man, I missed a lot of good picture opportunities.)
While I mourn the loss of those lovely cameras, I can now break in a new one! And this one should last a little longer given that I bought Jessops' accidental cover package which covers pretty much everything and lasts 3 years!
So what brought about this impulse buy? Basically, INSPIRATION! This week was the first of my third and final year at uni, and one of my modules (Documentary and Photojournalism) requires taking photos and editing them, and was taught in such a way on tuesday that I just wanted to go out and get snapping! So that is what I am going to do... look out Winchester! The paparazzi has arrived!
